Top Beauty Picks to Make You Look Put-Together on Zoom
Because we all know Zoom isn’t that flattering…
Whether it’s for work, school, or social reasons, I think it’s fair to say that the majority of our lives are occurring on Zoom these days. And, although you may be in sweats on your couch, feeling like you look put together can make all the difference in your vibe for the call.
Laptop webcams aren’t the most flattering, and finding good lighting in my house has been one of the most difficult tasks of quarantine. Here are some beauty picks to make you feel put-together so you don’t have to be constantly thinking about your appearance, and can focus on the call instead.
Benefit’s 24 Hour Brow Setter in Clear
Benefit’s clear brow gel is literally like glue for your eyebrows. Brush them up and keep them in place so they look neat on camera, even though they are probably a mess after going 2 months without a wax.
Glossier’s Cloud Paint
It’s so easy to look washed out in the blue light of your computer screen, so bring some life back to your face with Glossier’s cloud paint. This liquid blush comes in six shades, but I personally love the peachy glow of Beam. A little goes a long way with this product, so dab a bit on your cheeks to wake up your face. Pro tip: dab the excess product onto the bridge of your nose to give the illusion of spending the day in the sun, even if you were checking emails and scrolling through Tik Tok all day.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
This is one of my top holy grail products. It’s like a luxurious upgraded Vaseline. Although it’s meant to be worn overnight as a lip mask, I use it in place of lip balm. This lip mask keeps your lips so hydrated, while also giving a subtle sheen, similar to a gloss. But who wants to put on actual lip gloss when you’re not leaving your house?
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Sometimes less is more. This basic drugstore dry shampoo is my favorite! It absorbs oil to leave your hair looking fresh, even if you haven't washed your hair in days. Spraying some of this dry shampoo in your roots on a greasy hair day before a Zoom call will give your hair a whole new life.
