Makeup Tutorial: Recreate A Wearable High Fashion Eye
Craving a new go-to makeup look? We’ve created an easy 6 step tutorial to achieve this high fashion, wearable makeup look.
Inspiration: Mila Posvoemu
Step 1:
Prime your lids with concealer and a nude eyeshadow. We used the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette.
Step 2:
Using a round fluffy brush, gently use windshield wiper motions in the crease of your eye. Pro tip – never rub your eye with your brush. Instead, blending motions should feel light as a feather.
Step 3:
Start with the lightest orange color and build up using colors 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 with a thin eyeliner brush to create an eyeliner look with your eyeshadows. Make sure to create a gradient effect by concentrating the darker colors closer to the lash line. Use quick and light stamping motions to focus color on the eye's base and swift, small motions to draw the wing.
New to creating a blown-out wing? Here are a few tips:
Begin creating the eyeliner look by first focusing on the wing tip
Draw a line that follows the curve of your lower lash line
Use short stamping and swiping motions to apply color
Mess up? Grab a que tip and gently push up or down on the imperfect area, straightening any imperfections
Step 4:
Blend. It. Out. Smoke up your gradient wing by dipping back into the lightest orange color with a flat, small, round brush and gently blending only the top of the wing.
Step 5:
Apply sparkle for a couture look. Use a loose glitter, glitter compact and use your finger to tap glitter all over the lid, concentrating on the inner corners.
Step 6:
Apply the finishing touches. Curl your lashes, and add your favorite mascara – and VOILA! You’ve created a stunning makeup look fit for walking the runway (or down the hall to your living room).
