Where to Visit This Fall to Escape the Cold Weather

Temperatures are dropping and your sweater collection is back in rotation. Fall is here, and as exciting as that is, you may not be ready to give up on summer just yet.

If you’re anything like me, you crave those warm summer days, lounging out in the sunshine, just about all year long. Although travel is different this year, you can still safely visit other parts of the country while practicing social distancing and wearing a mask, of course. Whether you’re looking to fly or drive, these are the eight places I recommend visiting this fall if you need a break from the cold.

Disclaimer: Follow each state’s travel guidelines carefully before planning your trip.

Laguna Beach, California

Average High Temperature in October: 70°F

Laguna Beach is a small coastal city located in Orange County, California. If you’re already on the west coast or are looking to take a trip there this fall, Laguna Beach is a gorgeous destination to relax and enjoy those Southern California vibes. Be sure to pack a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans as the mild temps drop once the sun goes down.

With strict social distancing measures in place throughout the resort, Sea Island’s COVID-19 precautions make it an even more desirable place to visit this year.
