Dreaming of Milan
Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Versace, Gucci, to Pucci, Italy is home to some of the most iconic fashion houses in the world. The country’s fashion capital, Milan, is a city that cannot be missed. I spent a few days in Milan last year and can’t wait to go back!
Duomo di Milano
Duomo di Milano is a beautiful cathedral in Milan that took over 600 years to complete. Spend some time walking around inside to see the Crypt of St. Charles and the archeological areas. For amazing views of the city, and an even better photo op 😉, make sure you buy tickets to the rooftop.
Afterwards, enjoy a cocktail and lunch at Obicà Duomo, located next to the Duomo on the 7th Floor Food Hall of Rinascente Milan. Let’s be real, any place that has the words “Mozzarella Bar” in the title is worth the stop.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
What’s Milan without a little shopping? Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is Italy’s oldest active shopping mall, located next to the Piazza del Duomo. Stop in the original Prada store (pictured above) or grab a cappuccino in Marchesi 1824. Warning: you may impulsively buy something at Gucci while here (not that I would know anything about that 😳).
Sforzesco Castle and Arco della Pace
One of the great things about Milan is you never know what you’ll stumble upon, so make sure to explore! When I was there, I randomly found Sforzesco Castle and Arco della Pace, which are located right next to each other.
