Gossip Girl: Season 3, Episode 11: The Treasure of Serena Madre

Throughout Gossip Girl’s six seasons of lies, gossip, betrayal, and friendships, the Thanksgiving episode in season 3 is known as one of the most iconic Turkey Day-themed episodes on television. This episode, which is filled with drama, tension, and messy affairs between friends and dysfunctional families, is sure to keep you on your toes wanting more!

While, of course, the drama is the most iconic aspect, it wouldn’t be a true episode of Gossip Girl without the music. While secrets are being exposed, Jason Derulo’s “Whatcha Say” plays in the background while everything is falling apart at the dinner table. By the end of the song, in true Gossip Girl fashion, everyone has left the dinner table upset and heartbroken.

When Serena’s boyfriend, Dan, invites her family over for Thanksgiving, they are taken by surprise after learning their parents dated in high school. Meanwhile, Blair and her mom have a heated argument about her dad, who decides to spend Thanksgiving with his new partner in Paris instead of with Blair. Because of this family drama, Blair spirals, causing her past eating disorder to emerge again. That ‘70s Show: Season 1, Episode 9: Thanksgiving

That ‘70s Show is definitely known for its holiday-themed episodes. The first Thanksgiving-themed episode kicks off in season one, and it wouldn’t be That 70’s Show without Eric screwing up. After Laurie decides to bring a friend over for Thanksgiving, she and Eric end up kissing, putting his relationship with Donna at risk. Meanwhile, Kitty is preparing for the holiday, and is under even more stress this year, as Red’s mother is going to be there.

Modern Family: Season 3, Episode 9: Punkin Chunkin

This Thanksgiving special of Modern Family is a classic and shows how funny and dysfunctional their family truly is. In this episode, Haley and Alex accidentally put a dent in the side of their mom’s car and try to hide it. Cam tells the family some stories he remembers from his childhood, while Mitch questions the accuracy of his stories. While Claire cooks dinner for the whole family, they argue about how far they can slingshot a pumpkin, which results in a competition of who can slingshot a pumpkin the furthest.
