St. Tropez’s Classic Bronzing Mousse is arguably one of the most popular self-tanning options on the market and one that many people swear by. I, however, have a love-hate relationship with it. In terms of application, the process is pretty standard. After exfoliating and applying lotion to the dry areas (elbows, knees, ankles, and feet), use the Tan Applicator Mitt to apply, starting at your ankles and working up. Then wait between four to eight hours before rinsing off. Personally, I don’t love the application of this product. While you can see the product as you apply it, I do think it’s easy to miss spots. Maybe I’m expecting too much, but I like self-tanners that are essentially foolproof. I will say though, that the color it gives off is amazing. After using, you’ll look like you’ve just been sitting by the pool all day. Another positive, there’s no gross self-tan smell. The product definitely has a scent, but it’s subtle and I don’t find it offensive.
