Showcase Your Natural Beauty: How to Emphasize Your Best Features
I think most would agree that makeup is both a blessing and a curse.
We all love having the ability to conceal those stubborn blemishes that pop up every once in a while, and it’s always fun to amp up the glam when we’re feeling it. On the other end, although we, as women, are often expected to present ourselves as flawlessly as possible, sometimes we’re just not in the mood or don’t have the time to spend an hour on a full makeup routine. That is absolutely okay, and you know what? We don’t have to.
One of the best things about makeup is that it has the ability to draw the eye to features that we want to emphasize and away from those that we don’t. Each one of us is naturally beautiful in our own unique way, and we know how to support this beauty on the inside, but how can we emphasize the best of our external beauty without using an excessive amount of product?
Follow the tips below for advice on how to save time during your makeup routine and draw more attention to your favorite facial features!

Lips
If you want to draw more attention to your lips, go for a medium neutral/pink tone. Anything too light will wash them out, and anything very dark is a bit too aggressive for an everyday look - especially if you have larger lips. Start by lining your lips with a pencil one shade darker than your desired lip color, fill in with your matte lip color, and finish the look off with a very small swipe of a light-shine lip gloss.

Cheekbones
If you’ve been blessed with beautiful bone structure, you’ll probably want to show it off. Give your skin that natural, dewy look, and highlight your cheekbones with an illuminator. Start with a light foundation, BB cream or CC cream of choice and swipe on the illuminator to get the glow. This is a very low-maintenance look that can be finished off with a little bit of mascara and lip gloss. You’ll be leaving everyone wondering … how does she wake up like that?

Jawline
If you’re looking to highlight the beautifully structured jawline you’ve been given, opt for bronzer as your single must-have product. We’re still going for a natural look, so no need to over-do it, but a little bit can make a big impact. Like the illuminator, you’ll want to first apply a lightweight foundation or base cream to even your skin tone and create a smooth, dewy base. Apply just a bit of bronzer under the cheekbones and in an L-shape along the jawline. Finish with light eye makeup, a neutral lip and a power pony for that extra emphasis!
