Glossier Skincare: What You Should Actually Buy
Now that I have an abundance of well needed me-time on my hands, my skincare regime has been kicked up a notch. This routine has been entirely adapted, if not born from, what it once was pre-quarantine.
Reader’s Note: I have semi-dry skin and am prone to redness. This routine is not one size fits all, but if you’ve been looking on Glossier’s site for a vibey one stop shop, here are some truly amazing products that won’t break the bank.
A.M.
I start my skincare routine with two drops of Glossier’s Super Bounce. This product is great because it contains the almighty hyaluronic acid that deeply hydrates skin without any stickiness. It also contains a vitamin b5 serum that does wonders for soothing the skin as well as hydrating it.
After my skin is bounced, my eyes and lips want in on the fun. I take a pump of Glossier Bubblewrap and gently pat this under and around my eyes (including lids) in a light circular motion. I take the remainder and rub it onto my lips to reap its plumping benefits. Bubblewrap has easily become one of my favorite products of all time and it makes applying concealer a dream.
Now that my skin is all primed and prepped, I pack on some Future Dew to all the high points of my face for some inner glow sans highlighter. I love this oily serum hybrid because unlike highlighter, this glow is here to stay and hydrate.
I now moisturize my face with Priming Moisturizer Rich. A little goes a long way with this buttery moisturizer. I love this product and it smells incredible. The difference between their rich moisturizer and their regular priming one, which is about $10 cheaper, is that the rich is a bit more heavy duty so it might be too much for normal skin. I switch off between the two, but both have oxygenating agents as well as anti-redness complexes and give you a bang for your buck. Finally, I apply Rose Balm Dotcom for a nice rose sheen to my lips and I’m on my merry way (to my zoom call).
P.M.
After I remove my makeup with a Clinique or Neutrogena makeup wipe I rinse my skin and follow with my Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser. This can be a tad drying, so I don’t use it in the winter as much, but it is an amazing cleanser for warmer months.
About once or twice a week I wind down with the Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack and the Moisturizing Moon Mask. I usually put the greens mask on my t-zone and the moon mask on the rest of my face. If you are to purchase one, I recommend Moon over Greens because this is seriously one of the best masks I have ever used— it is deeply hydrating and brightening.
