Achieve the Perfect Fall Manicure with These Colors and Tips
September brings in the winds of change. Schools are starting again, NYFW is in full swing, Starbucks brings out their fall drinks (big PSL fan over here), stores pull out all the pumpkin foods, and the weather gets a little chillier.
Now I know we’re all pulling our sweaters, cardigans, scarves, and boots from out of storage; however, have we thought about what nail colors we’re switching to? Bright colors like white, pink, blue, and yellow were perfect during the summer months, but what are the fall colors?
Here are some fall colors for your nail inspiration and some tips to make your at-home mani a little more luxurious.
Burgundy
Darker colors are so in! Burgundy is always the first color I switch to during the fall. I love the wine colored vibe, which reminds me of chilly days under a blanket and mug of tea. This color is Stick to Your Burgundies by OPI.

Dark Blue
Taking after the color of the year, Classic Blue, why not bring that into your nail game? Make it a few shades darker and you have a perfect fall mani to stand out. Essie’s Midnight Cami is a great choice.

Gray
Some may disagree, but I love gray nail polish for fall. I think it’s such a unique and bold fall color and will get you countless compliments when grabbing your Starbucks order. Opi’s Steel Water Runs Deep is my top choice.

Dark Green
The trees may be changing, but your nails can be evergreen. With all your sweaters and pumpkin picking, a forest green color will look perfect. Ella + Mila’s Mistletoe Magic is a great option!

Pastel Orange
While orange is the ultimate fall color, you may not want your nails to look like they came out of the pumpkin section at Trader Joe’s. That’s why pastel orange is a great option. It’s a stand out color, yet soft enough to mesh with different outfits! Essie’s Looks to Thrill is enough orange to fit into fall while being inconspicuous.

If you’re missing out on the luxury of a nail salon, here are some products that can bring that feeling back.
Cuticle Oil
As it gets colder, it’s important for nails to get some moisture and healing. Applying cuticle oil after filing your nails or removing old nail polish can promote nail health and growth. Sally Hansen's Cuticle Rehab Oil Balm has aloe and vitamin E to take care of the roughest cuticles.

Hand Masks
You’ve heard of face masks, but what about hand masks? Aveeno Repairing Cica Hand Mask has shea butter and prebiotic oat to bring your hands back to baby softness in no time. It’s been a weekly activity of mine, and I love the results of adding this to my routine.

I know at home manis aren’t the most fun and you may miss the fun designs offered by nail artists; however, I have a solution for that. Nail stickers! Olive & June Nail Art Stickers are super fun and easy to use.
