For when there isn’t a pandemic, of course.

Last year, Valentine’s day was out of a movie — my boyfriend surprised me with plane tickets to Charleston, South Carolina. I fell head over heels in love with this city, and our happiness was our only concern at the time. In an ideal world, we would have made this a tradition. However, since we’re still in a pandemic, I’m dreaming about all the places I would have loved to travel this year. Below is a list of 30 romantic destinations that I wish I could have been whisked away to.

  1. Paris, France (obviously)

  2. Dallas, Texas

  3. Malibu, California

  4. Florence, Italy

  5. Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

  6. Tokyo, Japan

  7. Santorini, Greece

  8. Oahu, Hawaii

  9. Miami, Florida

  10. London, England

  11. Amsterdam, Netherlands

  12. Venice, Italy

  13. Prague, Czech

  14. Lisbon, Portugal

  15. Capri, Italy

  16. Savannah, Georgia

  17. Quebec, Canada

  18. Brussels, Belgium

  19. Carmel (by the sea), California

  20. Aix-en-Provence, France

  21. New Orleans, Louisiana

  22. Aspen, Colorado

  23. Cape Cod, Massachusetts

  24. Montauk, New York

  25. Boston, Massachusetts

  26. Lake Tahoe, Nevada

  27. Sanibel Island, Florida

  28. Vail, Colorado

  29. Nashville, Tennessee

  30. Rocky Mountains, Canada

These cities are absolutely perfect for a set of lovebirds, and I wish I could get to them with ease this year. Hopefully by this time next year, we’re all able to travel.
