It’s Not Water: Chocolate Espresso Martini

An espresso martini is the ultimate dessert cocktail. When you’re looking for an after dinner treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, try this recipe with a chocolate twist. You won’t be disappointed with the result!

Makes 1 glass

The ingredients:

  • 1 oz vanilla vodka

  • 1 oz Godiva chocolate liqueur

  • 1 oz Kahlúa or coffee liqueur

  • 1 oz instant espresso or fresh espresso

  • chocolate syrup for rim 

  • 3 coffee beans for garnish

The steps:

  1. Pour chocolate syrup on a plate and dip a chilled martini glass upside down in the chocolate to coat the rim of the glass.

  2. Bring water to a boil in a microwave-safe measuring cup for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add 1 tbsp of instant espresso to the water, stir and set aside.

  4. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker WITHOUT ice. Add the espresso and then fill with 1 cup of ice.

  5. Shake for about 10 seconds and pour into your chilled martini glass. Garnish with espresso or coffee beans.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
