Incorporating Floral Tones Into Your Beauty Routine

Spring is here, bring on the color!

Like anyone, when I think of spring, I think of flowers, but I’m not generally one to reach for a floral pattern when shopping for clothes. In fact, I would be surprised if there were more than 5 floral-patterned items in my entire closet. With that said, however, I still love getting into the springtime spirit by other means. I love being outside, buying fresh flowers, and I also love accessorizing with a pop of color - whether that be with my shoes, bag, jewelry, or even my makeup.

See the list below to find out how I’ll be incorporating floral tones into my makeup routine this spring season!

Lilac Accents

LILAC-EYESHADOW

EYESHADOW

I definitely won’t use one of these flat lilac or lavender shades across the whole lid here, but I love some subtle accents in the inner crease or tight to the lower lash line.

STILA-EYESHADOW-LILAC

LIQUID EYESHADOW

This look will make a statement, so save it for an event you might be attending this season. Use this shimmering liquid shadow on the lid, just under the crease of your eye, for a more bold look!

ESSIE-GO-GINZA-LILAC

NAIL POLISH

Light purple may be my favorite springtime nail shade. It’s subtle, yet different than the classic pinks and nudes that everyone else has. Essie’s ‘Go Ginza’ is one of my favorites.

Rosy Tones

ROSE-EYE-GLOSS

EYE GLOSS

I love this for a very lightly-pigmented and easy addition to your day to day makeup routine. This eye gloss gives a beautiful shine to the eye that is perfect for spring days - rain or shine!

ROSE-WATER

ROSE WATER

Ok, not a “tone,” but I LOVE rose water. It’s no miracle product in terms of skin clarity, but the refreshing scent of roses mixed with a cool mist cannot be beat.

LIP BALM

Another subtle but perfect addition to your everyday makeup routine is a rose-tinted lip balm or gloss. Something about a pretty pink shine on your lips just makes you feel refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Sunflower Shimmer

LIQUID-HIGHLIGHT

LIQUID HIGHLIGHTER

Mimic the way that the sunflowers sine in the sunlight with a lightweight liquid highlighter. Definitely a must-have as the weather gets warmer!

EYELINER

This is a top pick for me. It’s such an easy way to change up your look, but the extra glimmer a gold liner gives off can make such a major difference in drawing attention to your eyes.

GOLD-BODY-OIL

BODY OIL

This is the ultimate hack for a golden, glowing look, even before you can get your tan on this summer.
