I Tried “The World’s Most Powerful Facial”

I’ve heard a lot about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Facial Treatment and decided it was time to see if this trendy mask is really worth all the hype.

I’m not usually the type of person who gets bad breakouts. However, quarantine has really disrupted my daily routine and as a result, I’ve been dealing with so much stress that my usual skincare products have been unable to manage it.

This mask is made from 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay. Although I’ve only seen people use it as a face mask, it can also be used for body wraps, hair masks, clay baths, and so much more. The clay has many detoxifying properties that help to cleanse the skin and leave it feeling so clean and smooth. This helps to eliminate blemishes and acne by drying up pimples helps clear skin congestion.

Instructions:

  1. To create the mask, you will need either water or apple cider vinegar, whichever you prefer. I was out of apple cider vinegar and had to use water and it worked wonders!

  2. Mix equal parts powder and liquid (a small amount goes a long way!)

  3. Stir together with a mini silicone or rubber spatula until the mixture forms into a paste

  4. Using your fingers, apply a medium layer of the paste onto your face

  5. Let it set for 10-15 minutes

Note: Do not keep the mask on for longer than 20 minutes to ensure your skin doesn’t get overly dry or irritated. If you have sensitive skin, do not keep on for more than 10 minutes.

After about 10 minutes, the mask hardened and I felt my face pulsating, so I knew the combination was working. Remember to be gentle with your skin and use lots of water when taking off the mask so it softens up first. This mask goes so deep into your pores, I saw a difference immediately after removing it. My face was a little red for the first 25 minutes, which is totally normal, but faded away shortly after. Immediately after removing it my skin felt AMAZING!

I’d recommend this product to anyone having breakout problems. I have already included this mask in my skincare routine twice in the past week and am completely in love with the results!
