Get the Look: C&W-Inspired Beauty

C&W has been nothing short of spectacular when it comes to writing about fun and colorful beauty looks. I’m here to share my favorite beauty looks inspired by the magazine.

Electric Eyes

Electric eye looks have been circulating throughout the media for decades now, transforming during the 90s through today. This trend has been taking the world by storm in the 2021 spring season with ultra-bright colors that have a very lasting effect on the eyes. Electric shades have captivated the attention of many makeup enthusiasts and the C&W audience, as well! The electric trend has reinvented itself to go far beyond the average neon eye too. Electric shades can be incorporated into your routine using a variety of different products like eyeshadows, mascaras, lipsticks, blush, and more.

Pretty Pastels

Pretty Pastels have become a signature staple in the season of spring for their subtle, sophisticated sparkle that adds style to any beauty look. Popular products for pastel shading include the Stila Liquid Eyeshadow, Colourpop Cosmetics Pressed Shadows and Super Shock Shadows and Glossier’s Eye Gloss, which are only a few of my favorites for the season. The magazine has featured many of these favorites in the ‘Beauty’ section as well.

Rose Gold

Rose gold has become the revolutionary shade for glamour within the beauty industry. This color compliments the creative side behind the ultimate glamour girl. With hints of pink and gold, this blend becomes the metallic shade of rose gold. Pink and gold are two of my favorite shades together, so you can guess I use this shade a lot in my makeup routine. My favorite rose gold products in my collection include NARS lipgloss in the shade 'Orgasm,’ the Milani Baked-Blush in the shade ‘Luminoso’ and any Kylie Cosmetics High Gloss. I love them all!

Muted Neutrals

Neutrals have made it to the top of the list for the latest and greatest trends throughout the years. Neutrals, in my mind, have always been a baseline to start off any makeup look. My favorite neutral palettes include Urban Decay’s ‘Naked 2’ and ‘Naked 3’ palettes, along with the mini Naked ‘Basics Palette’ for a soft neutral smokey eye.

Glittering Gold

All that glitters is gold in the case of makeup/beauty trends. Various shades of glitters and gold have dominated makeup culture for years, and we don’t see that stopping anytime soon. Bright shimmers have always been a part of beauty-culture since it began. My favorite way to wear golden shades is to pack a shimmer all over my lid as the base, smoking out the crease of my eye with a light brown shade, creating a smokey effect, and adding bright red lipstick to pull the look together. My favorite items to use in my collection include my Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Sultry Palette’ on my eyes, and for my lips I use the NARS lipstick in the shade ‘Bad Reputation.’
